Mark of the Monark
I didn't find art — art found me in the most unexpected place: a soul-crushing office job that had me in tears. Something about that stillness, that suffocation, cracked something open. I needed to move, to tear things apart, to make a beautiful disaster. So I started painting.
My work is driven by strong women — women who are unapologetically themselves, who defy expectations, who own their chaos. But they're also something more personal than that. Each figure I create is a love letter to my inner child, giving her the role models she never had — bold, untamed, and free.
I believe there's power in the mess. Beauty doesn't have to be quiet or polished or safe. It can be loud. It can be a little destructive. It can be yours.
When you hang a piece from Mark of the Monark on your wall, my hope is simple: that you feel it. That you see yourself in the chaos and the beauty — and feel inspired to take up more space in the world.
